The following members have been recommended by the Board of Directors and ratified by the Provincial Council to constitute the 2012 OPS Bargaining Team:
Victoria Boyd, MGS Kingston;
Jane Colonna, MOHLTC Toronto;
Peter Dewar, MAG Toronto;
Chris Lunn, MOHLTC Toronto;
David Picard, MTO Thunder Bay;
Robert Stambula, MTO Toronto, who will chair the team.
AMAPCEO President Gary Gannage is an ex officio member of all bargaining teams.
Over 60 members responded to the call for bargaining team volunteers last June and the Board wants to thank all those who expressed an interest.
The current collective agreement with the OPS employer is scheduled to expire on March 31st, 2012, and the process of preparing for bargaining is well underway. The Board will be recommending bargaining priorities to the Annual Delegates’ Conference, based on advice from the bargaining team, which has had an opportunity to review the results to date from the bargaining survey.
The bargaining survey, which was distributed on October 13th in an e-mail to all members with home positions in the OPS, will remain open until the end of November, so if you have not completed it yet, please take a few moments to click on the link that was included in the e-mail. As usual, the response to the survey has been extremely high, reflecting strong member engagement.
